Nydia McGregor is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management at Santa Clara University's Leavey School of Business, where she also serves as Associate Dean of Graduate Business Programs. Her research focuses on organizational populations, resource dynamics, and their impact on organizational founding and survival, particularly in retailing, bookstores, and U.S. banking industries. She holds a Ph.D. from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, an MBA from UC Davis, and a BA in European History from UC Santa Cruz.
Dr. McGregor’s professional experience includes strategic management roles at Jamba Juice Company and Noah’s NY Bagels, as well as consulting and facilitation with the Institute for Business Innovation at UC Berkeley. She has led student teams to develop strategic solutions for firms like Clorox, Panasonic, LAM Research, and Visa. She is an active member of the American Sociological Association and the Academy of Management, where she presents her research.
