Nuno de Almeida Alves is an Associate Professor in the Department of Social Research Methods at the School of Sociology and Public Policies, ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon. He is also an Integrated Researcher at CIES-Iscte – Center for Research and Studies in Sociology, where he coordinates the Family, Generations and Health Research Group. He serves as Editor of the Portuguese Journal of Social Science and Associate Editor of the Journal of Youth Studies.

His research focuses on youth, technology, and social inequalities, particularly examining digital inclusion, educational policies, and generational change.
