Norman Orro is a freelance graphic designer, artist, and producer based in Tallinn and Amsterdam. He graduated from the Department of Graphic Design at the Estonian Academy of Arts in 2009 and has been teaching at the academy since 2014, focusing on trends, lifestyles, and networks.
His graphic design work centers on the cultural sector, including poster design and exhibition design. As an artist and producer, Orro explores themes such as globalization, posthumanism, exotica, neoliberal AI technologies, and the coloniality of digital language. His sound art project Music for Your Plants gained international attention, appearing in the soundtrack of the Chinese pavilion at the 2015 Venice Biennale and as part of an audio-visual web installation on DISmagazine. Additional creative outputs include Lookbook for Ж, posters for PARKINGSTONE XXIII, logos for TRIPLE X Amsterdam, and the 2017 work An Image Without A Picture.
