Nooshin Hakim Javadi is an Assistant Professor and interdisciplinary artist whose work interrogates systems of inequity, freedom, and environmental conflict through sculpture, sound, and performance. She holds an MFA from the University of Minnesota and a BFA in Sculpture from Tehran University.
Research Interests: Her practice explores intersections of oil infrastructure, carbon democracy, racial geography, and environmental racism. Recent projects sonify soil data from toxin-impacted regions and critique geopolitical power dynamics through participatory installations.

Collaborative Projects: Notable works include Radio Rhizome (soundscape installations opposing oil pipelines), Fossilized Past (environmental research on Lake Michigan), and One Kilometer and 35 Meters Above a Jenga (interactive critique of human rights narratives).
