Professor Nitika Garg is an Associate Dean in the Business School and holds a faculty position in the School of Marketing at UNSW Sydney. Her research focuses on emotions' impact on consumer judgment and decision-making, particularly in food consumption and ethical behavior. She has contributed to understanding how emotions like anger, happiness, and sadness influence consumer choices and has explored strategies to mitigate negative emotional effects on consumers. Her work intersects with public policy, health marketing, and brand activism.
Key awards include the 2019 Research Excellence Commendation and 2018 Outstanding Postgraduate Research Supervision Award. She serves on editorial boards for journals like the Australian Journal of Management and actively participates in consumer research conferences globally.
