معرفی
Niraj Aryal is a computational condensed matter physicist at Brookhaven National Laboratory's Condensed Matter Physics and Materials Science Department. He joined BNL in 2019 as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and became a Staff Scientist in 2022.
- Ph.D. in Physics, Florida State University (2013-2019)
- M.Sc. in Physics, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi (2010-2012)
- B.Sc. in Physics with minors in Mathematics and Statistics, Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu (2006-2009)
His research focuses on topological materials, Dirac/Weyl systems, and computational materials design. He combines first-principles methods with effective Hamiltonians and machine learning to study quantum phenomena.
Recent publications highlight expertise in topological phase transitions, magnetic semimetals, and electron correlations. Key keywords include Condensed Matter Physics, Materials Science, and Quantum Materials, with sub-fields spanning Topological Semimetals, Spin-Orbit Coupling, and Magnetoresistance.
- Yung Li Wang Award for excellence in research, Florida State University (2019)
At BNL, Aryal contributes to advanced computational modeling of quantum systems, bridging fundamental theory with applications in spintronics and thermoelectrics.
