Nino C. Monea

Nino C. Monea is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Law at Stetson University College of Law, where he teaches Professional Responsibility. He holds a B.S. from Eastern Michigan University and a JD from Harvard Law School.

His research focuses on criminal law, military law, constitutional law, and disciplinary systems. He has written extensively on counterterrorism legal frameworks and military justice.

Before joining Stetson, Monea served in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General Corps, including as a legal assistance attorney, Special Assistant U.S. Attorney, and military prosecutor. He deployed to the Middle East and Central Asia in 2022 with a Special Operations Command task force, advising on counterterrorism and diplomatic operations.

He previously taught at the United States Military Academy (West Point) and clerked for Michigan Supreme Court Justice Bridget Mary McCormack.
