معرفی
Prof. Nils Brose is a Professor and Director of the Department of Molecular Neurobiology at the Max Planck Institute for Multidisciplinary Sciences in Göttingen, Germany. His research focuses on molecular mechanisms underlying nerve cell development, synapse formation, and neurotransmitter release in the vertebrate central nervous system.
Education:
- Undergraduate studies in Biochemistry, Eberhard Karls University, Tübingen (1981-1985)
- MSc in Physiology, University of Oxford (1987)
- PhD in Biology, Ludwig Maximilians University, Munich (1990)
Research Interests: Combining biochemical, genetic, and physiological methods to study SUMOylation in cell polarity, synaptic cell adhesion proteins, and presynaptic active zone components. Explores synaptic dysfunction in neuropsychiatric diseases.
Affiliations: GGNB groups including Molecular Biology (IMPRS), Neurosciences (IMPRS), and Systems Neuroscience.
Lab and Collaborations: Directs a research group exploring synaptic mechanisms, with a focus on mouse genetic models and advanced imaging techniques.
