Prof Nikos Nikiforakis is a Professor at the University of Cambridge's Department of Physics, affiliated with the Maxwell Centre. He serves as Head of the Lab for Scientific Computing and Director of the MPhil in Scientific Computing program. He also acts as Deputy Director of the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Computational Methods for Materials Science. His research focuses on developing advanced computational tools to solve complex multi-scale and multi-physics problems in science and industry, emphasizing predictive modeling and numerical algorithms. His group, the Laboratory for Scientific Computing, comprises over 40 members. He is a Fellow at Selwyn College.
