Niko Paech

Prof. Dr. Niko Paech is a renowned adjunct professor in Plural Economics at the University of Siegen and previously represented the Chair of Production and Environment (PUM) at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg (2008–2016). He is a leading thinker in post-growth economics and chairs the Association for Ecological Economics (VÖÖ).

His research focuses on sufficiency, sustainable consumption, and ecological policy. He advocates for a shift from excessive consumption to a culture of enough, emphasizing equitable resource distribution and localized economies.
