Prof. Dr. Till van Treeck holds the Chair of Socioeconomics at the University of Duisburg-Essen since 2013, affiliated with the College for Social Sciences and Humanities. His academic career includes leadership roles at the IMK Institute and international research networks. He earned a Dr. rer. pol. (summa cum laude) from Oldenburg University and holds a dual degree in Political Science and Economics from Münster and Lille.
Research Interests: Income distribution dynamics, German/EU economic policy, socio-economic education, financialization, and political economy. His work bridges macroeconomic analysis with policy implications, addressing inequality and its societal impacts.
Recent Articles: Focus on global economic imbalances, income distribution effects on growth models, and policy responses to crises. Themes include current account surpluses, corporate sector behavior, and labor market dynamics in post-abundance economies.
Teaching: Offers courses in microeconomics, macroeconomics, and socio-economic education at both undergraduate and graduate levels.曾短期担任纽约新学院Theodor-Heuss教授(2021/22).
