Niklas Pohle

Niklas Pohle serves as a Research Associate at the Chair of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Economic and Medical Criminal Law under Prof. Dr. Christian Jäger at the Faculty of Law and Economics, Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg. He has held this position since 2025, following his appointment after completing his First State Examination in Law with excellent results.

His research interests span Criminal Law with specialization in Criminal Procedure, Economic Criminal Law, and particularly Medical Criminal Law. His work examines regulatory frameworks at the intersection of healthcare and criminal law, as demonstrated by his 2023 publication on medical advertising bans related to Section 219a of the German Criminal Code concerning abortion advertising.

Prominent among his scholarly contributions is his analysis of the regulation of medical advertising bans, which addresses current debates in German legal practice. His research shows particular attention to how legal frameworks balance medical information needs with regulatory concerns in sensitive healthcare areas.
