Nicole Mahara is a Lecturer in Nursing at Charles Sturt University, employed in a full-time teaching and research role since 2021. Previously, she served as Director of Care Services at a large regional aged care facility and as a sessional marker for the School of Nursing from 2016–2021. Her expertise spans aged care, leadership, burnout, and First Nations health. She holds multiple qualifications, including a Master of Gerontology, MBA (HRM), and Graduate Certificates in Teaching and Learning and Gerontology.

Teaching: Nicole has convened and taught subjects including Nursing Workplace Learning, Health Management Leadership, and Professional Practice. She emphasizes student support and pedagogical innovation.
