Nicole Lazzeri serves as an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Accounting department at the Leeds School of Business, University of Colorado Boulder. She teaches accounting courses and brings extensive practical experience from both public accounting and corporate tax environments to her classroom instruction.
Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from the University of Northern Colorado and a Master of Taxation from the University of Denver Graduate Tax Program. Before entering academia, Professor Lazzeri worked as a CPA at Ernst & Young's Denver tax practice and with other local accounting firms. She later transitioned to the corporate sector where she built and managed a tax department for an international corporation.
Her research and teaching interests focus on practical applications of accounting principles, taxation strategies, and preparing students for professional accounting careers. With her Certified Public Accountant credential (currently inactive), she bridges theoretical knowledge with real-world accounting practice.
