Nicolas Syrichas

Nicolas Syrichas is an Assistant Professor (non-tenure track) at Freie Universität Berlin and a Research Associate at the Berlin School of Economics. He holds a PhD in Economics from Goethe University Frankfurt and is affiliated with the Frankfurt Quantitative Macro group. His research focuses on macroeconomic questions using quantitative models and spatial big data, with current projects examining real estate price dynamics and socioeconomic inequalities in developing countries. Previously, he worked at the European Central Bank (ECB) and as a consultant at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and served in the Cyprus military for two years.
