Emanuel Mönch is a Professor of Financial and Monetary Economics at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. He previously served as Head of Research at the Deutsche Bundesbank and held academic roles at Goethe University Frankfurt and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. His expertise bridges macroeconomics and finance, with a focus on monetary policy, inflation expectations, and asset pricing.
Educated at Humboldt University Berlin (Ph.D. and M.A. in Economics) and ENSAE (M.A. in Statistics), Mönch’s research has been published in top journals including the Journal of Finance and the Journal of Monetary Economics. He has received prestigious awards such as the Amundi Smith Breeden First Prize (2015) and the Young Economist Award (2008).
