Nick Warr is an Associate Professor of Art History and Curation at the University of East Anglia (UEA), affiliated with the School of History and Art History. He serves as Course Director for Art History & World Art Studies and Academic Director of the East Anglian Film Archive (EAFA). His research focuses on avant-garde practices, experimental film, and W.G. Sebald’s photographic legacy. Warr collaborates with regional cultural institutions to create exhibitions and public engagement projects, including major shows at Norwich Castle Museum and the Sainsbury Centre. He is a recipient of the New York Times 'Best Art Books 2023' award for his edited volume on Sebald’s photography.
Key responsibilities include managing UEA’s extensive photographic collections (150,000 prints and 500,000+ negatives) and leading EAFA’s academic partnerships. His teaching spans Art History, Museum Studies, and Experimental Film.
