Nicholas Hulbert-Williams is a Professor and Head of the Department of Psychology at Edge Hill University, UK, and holds an Adjunct Professorship at Flinders University, Australia. He is a Chartered Coaching Psychologist and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. His academic journey includes a PhD from Cardiff University School of Medicine (2009) and previous roles as a lecturer and Personal Chair in Behavioural Medicine at the University of Chester (awarded 2015).
His research focuses on the psychological impact of cancer on patients, families, and healthcare providers. He has secured over £5.6 million in research grants from bodies like North West Cancer Research, NIHR, Marie Curie, and EPSRC. In 2022, he received the North West Cancer Research Advocacy Award for his work on cancer survivorship.
With 75 peer-reviewed articles and 9 book chapters, his work emphasizes identifying at-risk groups and developing evidence-based interventions to improve psychosocial outcomes and healthcare services.
