Ros Bramwell

Professor Ros Bramwell is a Visiting Professor at the University of Chester, affiliated with the School of Society. Previously, she served as Head of Psychology (2008–2013) and Associate Dean for the Faculty of Social Science (2013–present). She held roles at the University of Liverpool (Research Director for the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology Programme) and the Universities of Manchester and Central Lancashire. Her expertise spans research methodologies and their application to mental and physical well-being studies.

Education: BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Bradford, followed by a PhD from the University of Manchester. Professional credentials include Chartered Health Psychologist status with the Health Professions Council, Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Research focuses on healthcare equity, psychosocial aspects of chronic illness, and patient-caregiver dynamics.
