Nibedita Mukherjee is a Senior Lecturer in Global Development and Sustainability at Brunel University London’s College of Business, Arts and Social Sciences. Her work bridges biodiversity conservation, decision-making processes, and the science-policy interface, with expertise in expert elicitation and evidence synthesis.

Her research focuses on enhancing conservation decision-making through interdisciplinary frameworks, evaluating ecosystem services, and addressing global challenges like wolf-dog hybridization and mangrove fisheries. Recent projects explore business-biodiversity linkages and sustainable forest management methodologies.
Recent publications span Environmental Science and Policy, Environment, Development and Sustainability, and Fish and Fisheries, emphasizing practical tools for conservation. She has been recognized with prestigious fellowships including the NERC Innovation Placement and Fondation Wiener Anspach post-doctoral award.
