Niall J Moran is an Assistant Professor (tenured) in Economic Law at Dublin City University's School of Law and Government, and Deputy Director of the DCU Brexit Institute. He holds a PhD in International Economic Law from Bocconi University and is a qualified barrister in Ireland and attorney in New York. His professional experience includes roles at the European Commission's Legal Service and DG AGRI, as well as academic positions at Middlesex University and the University of Oslo.

Research focuses on International Economic Law, including EU law, WTO law, investment law, competition law, and trade in agriculture. He leads the EU-funded Jean Monnet Module EU-LPF-Law (2024-2027), addressing trade and competition law reforms. Recent publications explore dispute settlement mechanisms and trade-investment legal frameworks.
