Ng Wee Khoon

Dr Ng Wee Khoon is a Clinical Professor and Deputy Head of Year 5 at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University. He also serves as Assistant Dean (w.e.f 1 February 2025) and Senior Consultant in the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (NHG), where he is Deputy Director of Endoscopy. His leadership roles include overseeing >100 residents as former NHG Internal Medicine Programme Director and contributing to national gastroenterology training through the Residency Advisory Committee (RAC) and Joint Committee on Specialist Training (JCST) Panel of Auditors.

Dr Ng holds MBBS (2006, National University of Singapore), MMED (Internal Medicine), FRCP (Edinburgh), and FAMS qualifications. He completed advanced endoscopy training under the MOH HMDP Award at Prince of Wales Hospital/Chinese University of Hong Kong (2015).

His expertise spans gastroenterology, hepatology, and endoscopy subspecialties. He actively contributes to medical education through NHG’s Clinical Competency Committee and holds executive roles in the Gastroenterology Society of Singapore (GESS) and the College of Physicians, Academy of Medicine, Singapore.

Awarded for educational leadership (NHG Education Leaders Award) and clinical excellence (TTSH Silver Staff Excellence Award), Dr Ng’s work emphasizes bridging clinical practice, training innovation, and national specialist workforce development.
