Nessa Keddo is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Media, Diversity and Technology at King’s College London, affiliated with the Faculty of Arts & Humanities and the Department of Culture, Media & Creative Industries. She serves as Programme Director for the MA Global Media Industries and the Department’s EDI Lead. Her roles extend to the Digital Futures Institute and King’s Institute for Artificial Intelligence.
Education: PhD in Communications from Brunel University (2017). Research focuses on diversity practices in media industries, digital labour, inclusive AI, and racism in promotional cultures. She co-leads the Wellcome Trust ‘INKLUDE’ project (2025-2026) and was Co-Investigator for the AHRC ‘Transforming the Gap’ project (2023-2024).
Publications include the upcoming book Race, Racism and Diversity in the Cultural and Creative Industries (2025) and articles on racism in advertising, K-pop industry dynamics, and Black social media influencers. She holds an Advance HE Fellowship (2017).
