Dr Jamie Hakim is a Lecturer in Culture, Media & Creative Industries at King’s College London, part of the Faculty of Arts & Humanities. His research focuses on queer masculinities, digital cultures, embodiment, intimacy, and care. He is affiliated with the Centre for Digital Culture and Queer@King’s, a research hub emphasizing LGBTQ+ policy and activism. Key publications include Work That Body: Male Bodies in Digital Culture (2019) and the co-authored Digital Intimacies: Queer Men and Smartphones in Times of Crisis (2024). He received the Stuart Hall Foundation X Cultural Studies Award in 2020 and contributes to journals like Journal of Gender Studies and Cultural Studies.
