Neil Budworth is a Visiting Professor in Occupational Safety and Health at Loughborough University's School of Design and Creative Arts, and serves as Director of Health, Safety and Wellbeing. With over 35 years of experience, he holds leadership roles in multiple organizations, including Past President of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and Past Chair of the Universities Safety and Health Association (USHA). He is a lay Board member of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine.
His expertise spans occupational safety, risk management, and workplace health policy. Awards include the University Medal for distinguished service and Distinguished Service Awards from RoSPA and IOSH. He is a Chartered Fellow of IOSH, Fellow of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management, and Honorary Fellow of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine.
Budworth’s career includes extensive cross-sector health and safety leadership. His current role focuses on institutional wellbeing strategy and academic safety frameworks.
