Neal Robinson

Neal Robinson is an Assistant Professor of Practice in Architecture at the University of Michigan’s Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Design. He teaches design and construction logics across undergraduate and graduate programs, including roles as former coordinator for Summer 3G Design Fundamentals and Design Fundamentals 1. His professional experience includes founding SKYLAB Architectures in Atlanta, co-founding WETSU (recognized by AIA and design publications), and leading N_SPACE, a practice addressing neurotoxicity in design. Robinson holds a Master of Architecture from Rice University and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Georgia Institute of Technology.

His research merges pedagogy with practice, emphasizing community engagement, spatial optimism, and international collaborations. He directed Taubman College’s former study-abroad program in Italy and recently led trips to Australia, New Zealand, and New Caledonia. Awards include AIA honors and design recognitions for his innovative projects, which bridge cultural, spatial, and labor dynamics.
