Naureen Rahim is a Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Oslo's Department of Criminology and Sociology of Law. Her research focuses on Bangladesh’s role in the international refugee law regime, particularly regarding Rohingya refugees. She holds an LL.M. from the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights, and has extensive experience with the Center for the Study of Genocide and Justice (CSGJ) in Bangladesh, coordinating fieldwork in Rohingya refugee camps.
Her academic interests include International Humanitarian Law, Refugee Law, and Transitional Justice. She has contributed to research projects funded by the European Research Council (ERC) under Horizon 2020, examining how non-signatory states like Bangladesh interact with international refugee norms.

- Adjunct Faculty roles at Jahangirnagar University, Dhaka International University, and Independent University Bangladesh
Rahim has authored/co-edited works on transitional justice in Asia, genocide studies, and refugee policy. Her current PhD project analyzes Bangladesh’s refugee practices despite its non-signatory status to the 1951 Refugee Convention.
