Ishrat Hossain

Dr. Ishrat Hossain is an Associate at the GIGA Institute for Asian Studies (since December 2024), with prior roles as GIGA Anniversary Fellow (August-November 2024) and Associate (September 2020-July 2024). He concurrently serves as an Expert Contributor to Oxford Analytica (since 2017). His research focuses on conflict dynamics, South Asian geopolitics, and the Rohingya crisis, with expertise in international relations theory.
