Nathaniel Wood is an Associate Professor at the University of Kansas, affiliated with the Department of History within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. His research focuses on the intersection of urbanization, industrialization, and cultural identity in East Central Europe during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Research Interests: Nathaniel explores how technological advancements like electric streetcars, automobiles, and airplanes shaped urban selfhood in Poland, particularly in cities like Cracow. His work analyzes press representations, public attitudes, and state narratives during the overlapping periods of "The Age of Great Cities" and "The Age of Speed."
