معرفی
Dr. Nathalie Signoret is a Senior Lecturer in Immunology at Hull York Medical School (University of York), where she has worked since 2006. Her research focuses on chemokine receptors—molecular sensors critical to immune cell trafficking and activation—and their roles in health and disease, including HIV, sepsis, and cancer. She leads interdisciplinary collaborations with physicists and chemists, and works closely with clinical teams at York and Hull NHS Teaching Hospitals for translational studies.
- Education: BSc (1989), Master (1991), and PhD in Immunology (1996) from Aix-Marseille II University, France.
- Research: Investigates mechanisms regulating chemokine receptor function, such as internalization, recycling, and cross-regulation with other receptors, using primary human cells and advanced imaging techniques.
- Teaching: Involved in MBBS Phase I teaching and the University of York Biomedical Sciences BSc program, including supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate projects.
Her laboratory employs flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, and molecular cloning to study receptor dynamics. Awards include leadership roles in the British Society for Cell Biology (Membership Secretary since 2024) and editorial contributions to PLoS One. She is active in academic governance as Chair of the MBBS Board of Examiners and member of the HYMS Ethics Committee.
