Prof. Dr. Nataša Teofilović serves as a Full Professor in the Department of Digital Arts at the Faculty of Media and Communications (FMK), Singidunum University in Belgrade, Serbia. She teaches advanced courses including 3D modeling, character animation, digital sculpting, and transdisciplinary artistic practice, bridging technical proficiency with conceptual artistic exploration.
Her academic foundation includes an architecture degree from the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade, a master's degree (2007), and a doctorate in digital art (2010) from the University of Arts in Belgrade's Interdisciplinary Studies program. Prior appointments include professional associate at the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade (2007-2015) and visiting lecturer at Sofia's National Academy of Arts (2008-2009).
Research focuses on the intersection of digital technology and artistic expression, with core expertise in 3D character animation, transdisciplinary art practice, and digital sculpting. Her work investigates how virtual environments challenge conventional spatial paradigms through immersive installations and game-based art forms, emphasizing the relationship between emptiness and movement in digital spaces.
Her publication record centers on the 2011 monograph The art of movement in the space of emptiness, which established foundational theories for digital movement within architectural contexts. Ongoing projects like KIBLIX 2014 and Ecoelectronics demonstrate consistent exploration of technology's social dimensions through transdisciplinary frameworks.
Artistic excellence is recognized through prestigious accolades:
- Honorary award at Ars Elektronika, Linz (2016)
- Ars Electronica Collide@CERN residency (2011)
- Jury Selection at Japan Media Arts Festival, Tokyo (2011)
- Zrenjanin Watercolor Biennale Award (2015)

With 16 solo and 130 group exhibitions since 1995, she maintains active scholarly engagement as art editor for Knjiženstvo magazine and juror for Videomedeja (2013). Her mentorship extends through FMK Lab initiatives and transdisciplinary collaborations exploring emerging media's cultural impact.
Current work integrates digital humanities with media theory through projects examining human-technology relationships, evidenced by ongoing involvement in FMK's research centers and international conferences focused on digital art's evolving theoretical frameworks.
