Ana Petrov is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Media and Communications (FMK), Singidunum University, Belgrade. She holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Belgrade and has previously taught at the University of Banja Luka. Her research focuses on sociology of culture, music, everyday life, and nostalgia, with publications analyzing Yugoslav cultural intersections and critical theory.

- Masters & PhD in Sociology (Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade, 2008/2012)
Her work explores cultural memory, post-Yugoslav identity, and sociological theories of art/media. Recent publications include Sociologies of Nostalgia (2021) and analyses of Max Weber/Bruno Latour. She received the Kyveli-Giannis Horn scholarship for Greek-Yugoslav cultural research in 2022.
Key academic contributions span interdisciplinary studies combining sociology, musicology, and media theory. She leads courses on sociologies of nostalgia, rationalization, and digital culture.
