Boško Prostran serves as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Digital Arts within the Faculty of Media and Communications (FMK) at Singidunum University, Belgrade, where he has taught film and video courses since 2009.
His academic credentials include a degree from the Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade, a master's from the Faculty of Media and Communications, and ongoing doctoral studies in Transdisciplinary Theory of Art and Media.
Professor Prostran's research centers on experimental film practices, digital art theory, and the philosophical dimensions of moving images. His work critically examines archive cinema and amateur approaches to filmmaking, bridging artistic creation with theoretical frameworks in media studies.
His publications demonstrate a consistent focus on deconstructing cinematic language through experimental methodologies, particularly exploring the movement-image concept and democratized film production.
Scientific recognition includes:
- Politika's award for best exhibition (2015) with art collective Doppelganger
As a practicing artist, he co-founded the internationally exhibited Doppelganger collective with Isidora Ilić, presenting works at premier institutions including Centre Pompidou (Paris), Kunstmuseum Bonn, and Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, alongside festival appearances in Rotterdam, Kassel, and Cairo.
