Dr. Natasha Gjorevska is a Senior Lecturer in Organisation Studies and Human Resource Management at the University of Portsmouth's School of Organisations, Systems, and People within the Faculty of Business and Law. She joined the university in October 2021 and serves as PhD Supervisor with expertise in qualitative research methodologies.
Education:
- PhD in Business and Management (summa cum laude) from Corvinus University of Budapest, Hungary
- PhD in Organisation Studies from The University of Roehampton, London
Dr. Gjorevska's research focuses on the intersection between alternative organising, values, well-being and food organising. Her work explores organizational behavior in alternative food networks and social enterprises, with particular interest in third sector organizations' role in multi-stakeholder well-being outcomes and drivers behind social change. She has extensive methodological expertise in qualitative methodologies including interviewing, data analysis, visual data collection, and story completion methods. Her current research investigates civil society involvement in food-related alternative organising as a driver of social change, while also examining post-pandemic and post-capitalist organizing transitions.
Her recent publications demonstrate a strong research trajectory in workplace spirituality, alternative food systems, and social entrepreneurship, with increasing focus on the connections between spiritual values, ethical business practices, and community well-being. Her work spans multiple contexts including Hungary and the UK, with a growing emphasis on food systems as sites of social innovation.

Dr. Gjorevska actively supervises doctoral students and welcomes new PhD candidates interested in leadership and management, business ethics and sustainability, and value-based organising and well-being. She has participated in significant EU-funded research projects including EFOP-3.6.2-16-2017-00007 on intelligent, sustainable and inclusive society development, and the CEEMAN Lead4Skills Project focused on innovative management education.
