Nataliya Kalashnyk is a Junior Professor Chair at the University of Lille, specializing in surface functionalization of materials with 0D, 1D, and 2D nanostructures. Her research focuses on creating multicomponent systems at material surfaces to develop functional nanostructures with applications in flexible electronics, photovoltaics, and optoelectronics.

She investigates self-assembled supramolecular systems, graphene nanoribbons, and van der Waals heterostructures. Recent work explores electronic property tuning via light-switchable molecules and on-surface reaction mechanisms. Her research integrates advanced experimental methods to analyze nanoscale organization and functionality.
Scientific collaborations span institutions including Karazin Kharkiv National University, University of Nantes, and University of Sofia. She is affiliated with multiple research groups at the University of Lille, such as NANSEE and NCM, focusing on nanomaterials and quantum devices.
