Natalie Shlomo is a Professor of Social Statistics at the University of Manchester, affiliated with the School of Social Sciences. She leads research in survey methodology, statistical disclosure control, and official statistics. Her roles include serving as President of the International Association of Survey Statisticians (2023-2025) and Vice President of the International Statistical Institute (2017-2019).
Education:

- PhD Statistics, Hebrew University & University of Southampton (2004-2007)
Research Focus: Survey design, small area estimation, adaptive survey designs, data privacy, and methodological advancements in official statistics. Her work addresses challenges in data integration, non-response adjustments, and statistical disclosure control.
Grants & Collaborations: Co-Investigator on ESRC-funded projects like Survey Futures (2023-2026) and CoDE (2021-2022). Lead PI on projects such as Methodological Advancements on Administrative Data (2021-2022) and Bayesian Adaptive Survey Designs (2015-2018). Collaborations include EU Horizon 2020 (InGrid2) and World Bank initiatives.
Awards: Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society, Simons Fellow (2016), and member of numerous editorial and advisory boards including the Journal of Survey Statistics and Methodology and the Royal Statistical Society's Academic Affairs Committee.
Leadership: Former Head of the Department of Social Statistics (2014-2017), Research Director of Social Statistics (2019–present), and global advisor on statistical methodology for institutions like the European Union and Australian Bureau of Statistics.
