Natalie Jones

Natalie Jones is a Research Fellow at the University of Sheffield's School of Medicine and Population Health within the Population Health department, currently hosted by Sheffield Teaching Hospitals FT through a National Institute for Health Research/Health Education England (NIHR/HEE) Clinical Doctoral Research Fellowship.

Her academic credentials include:

• MSc in Clinical Research from the University of Sheffield

Specializing in stroke rehabilitation innovation, her research focuses on digital and remote interventions to transform acute stroke care. She leads a groundbreaking study exploring feasibility of intensive breakfast group interventions for eating/drinking rehabilitation, co-produced with clinicians, patients, and carers through stakeholder advisory groups. This collaborative work between Sheffield Teaching Hospitals FT, University of Sheffield, and Nottingham University employs toolkit-driven approaches to facilitate cross-professional skill sharing and outcome measurement.

Her scientific recognition includes:

With 25 years of clinical experience, she has guest lectured at Sheffield Hallam University while advancing multiple research initiatives including Video Linked Visits for Assessment (ViVA), CABOT, SOTCA, and the Sheffield Occupational Therapy Clinical Academic Network. Her CLAHRC YH collaboration produced the VICTOR Impact tool measuring NHS clinical research implementation.

As an active member of the Centre for Assistive Technology and Connected Healthcare (CATCH), she integrates technology with patient-centered rehabilitation models to enhance healthcare delivery across acute and community settings.
