Dr. Natalie Galea is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney, specializing in gender justice, human rights, and workplace equality in male-dominated sectors like construction and elite sports. She holds a PhD from UNSW and has over two decades of industry experience in construction project management. Her research focuses on addressing systemic inequalities through interventionist approaches, with notable projects on gender equality in the construction sector funded by the ARC and NSW Government.
Her academic career includes leadership roles in initiatives such as the Construction Industry Cultural Taskforce and Dignity by Design, advocating for human rights in the built environment. Key awards include the 2024 ARC Discovery Early Career Fellowship and inclusion in the Australian Olympic Team (1996).
