Dr. Natalie Cotterell is a Senior Research Associate at Lancaster University's Health Research Department within the Faculty of Health and Medicine. Her work focuses on public health, gerontology, and healthcare policy, particularly in long-term care facilities and ethnic minority health. She collaborates with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Observatory on End of Life Care.
Current research includes a WHO-led project mapping palliative care provision in European long-term care facilities and investigating loneliness among older ethnic minorities using co-research methodologies. She presented at the British Society of Gerontology's 47th Annual Conference, emphasizing interdisciplinary engagement.
Dr. Cotterell holds dual appointments as a Senior Research Associate (WHO) and Research Associate/PRU, reflecting her role in both academic and applied research. Her work bridges policy implementation and community-based health challenges, with a focus on marginalized populations.
