Natalia Savelyeva is a Lecturer at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, affiliated with the Department of Sociology. She is a Future Russia Fellow with the Democratic Resilience Program at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) and a researcher at the Public Sociology Laboratory of the Centre for Independent Social Research in St. Petersburg, Russia. Her work focuses on violent conflict in Ukraine since 2014 and broader sociological themes.

Her research interests include:
- Violent conflict dynamics (Ukraine 2014)
- Public sociology methodologies
- Russian societal structures
- Post-Soviet political sociology
- Transnational research collaboration
She teaches Soc 211: The Sociological Enterprise.
