Natalia Ruiz-Junco is a Visiting Senior Research Fellow at Auburn University, affiliated with King’s Business School’s Public Services Management and Organisation department. Her research spans social theory, social psychology, sociology of emotions, social movements, and qualitative methodology.
She has co-edited influential works including Updating Charles H. Cooley: Contemporary Perspectives on a Sociological Classic (Routledge, 2019), The Routledge International Handbook of Interactionism (2021), and People, Technology, and Social Organization: Interactionist Studies of Everyday Life (2024). These publications reflect her focus on self, identity, emotion, empathy, and social interaction through interpretive and pragmatist theories.
