Narges Moghimi

Dr. Narges Moghimi is an Associate Professor and Neurohospitalist at McGovern Medical School, part of The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston). She is a board-certified practicing neurologist with specialized expertise in emergency neurological conditions and teleneurology.

Dr. Moghimi completed her medical education at Iran University of Medical Sciences, followed by diverse training including a Neurogenetics Fellowship at University of Toronto, Research Associate position in Movement disorders at Yale University, Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy Fellowships, and residencies in Internal Medicine and Neurology at Case Western Reserve University and University of Texas Medical Branch.

Her research focuses on neurological manifestations of viral infections (particularly evident in her multiple 2021 publications on COVID-19 neurological complications), epilepsy genetics, and movement disorders.
