Dr. Kimberly E. Monday is an Associate Professor in the Department of Neurology at McGovern Medical School, The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). She serves as the Vice Chair of Clinical Operations for the Department of Neurology and holds several significant leadership positions including Medical Director for the Memorial Hermann Neuroscience Service Line and Co-Chair of the Texas Medical Association DEI Task Force.

Dr. Monday is fellowship trained and board-certified in general neurology, clinical neurophysiology and sleep medicine. Her clinical practice focuses on adult general neurology patients with a special interest in epilepsy and movement disorders. She has extensive expertise in neurophysiology, headache management, diagnostic sleep medicine, electroencephalogram (EEG), intra-operative monitoring, and electromyography (EMG). Her research interests center on electrophysiology, contributing to advancements in neurological diagnostics and treatment.
Dr. Monday's clinical excellence has been recognized through her repeated inclusion in the "Top Docs" listing based on physician peer votes. This prestigious recognition highlights her standing among her medical colleagues.
Dr. Monday demonstrates strong leadership throughout the medical community. She previously served as Chair of the Harris Health System Board of Trustees and has held presidential roles in the Harris County Medical Society, Houston Academy of Medicine, and Texas Neurological Society. Her commitment to advancing healthcare extends to her current board memberships with the MHMD Board of Directors, Texas Medical Association Board, and TMC Library Board.
Dr. Monday co-founded the Houston Neurological Institute where she was in private practice before joining UT McGovern Department of Neurology. Her career exemplifies her values of caring for others, both as a physician, leader, and advocate for the less advantaged.
