Narendra Pathak is a Lecturer and Laboratory Instructor in the Biological Sciences Department at Smith College. He earned his Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India, and specializes in zebrafish modeling of human disease genes, with a focus on cilia biology, CRISPR technology, and neuroglial development.
Research Interests: Pathak’s work explores how disease-linked genes affect organ development and physiology using zebrafish. His studies span podocyte development, photoreceptor morphogenesis, cilia structure/function, and autism spectrum disorders.
