Dr Naqash Masood is a Lecturer in Life Sciences at Keele University, based in the Huxley Building. Previously, he held a Lecturer position in Molecular Biosciences at Nottingham Trent University (2016–2019). His research focuses on bacterial pathogenesis, particularly Cronobacter sakazakii, and antimicrobial nanotechnology applications. He earned a PhD in 2015 from Nottingham Trent University, contributing to work that earned the university a Queen's Anniversary Prize in 2015.
His teaching roles at Keele include managing the 'Introduction to Human Biology' module and supervising master’s and undergraduate research projects. He also leads marketing and foundation-year coordination for the School of Life Sciences.
Research interests span microbial genomics, clinical antimicrobial development, and educational technology in bioscience teaching. Collaborations include Harman Technology Limited and Princess Noora University (KSA). His publications span Cronobacter genetics, antimicrobial agents, and online learning efficacy in higher education.
