Naomi R Williams is an Assistant Professor of Labor Studies and Employment Relations at Rutgers University. Her research focuses on working-class politics, racial justice, and labor movements in the Midwest. Her 2025 book A Blueprint for Worker Solidarity examines Racine, Wisconsin's response to deindustrialization through grassroots organizing and alliances between labor, racial, and gender justice groups. This work highlights sustainable strategies for economic freedom and democratic participation. Supported by a grant from the Howard D. and Marjorie I. Brooks Fund for Progressive Thought, her scholarship bridges historical analysis and contemporary activism.
