Naoko Takayanagi is a Researcher at the Department of Arts and Cultural Sciences, Lund University since September 2022. Her work focuses on K-pop audience culture, particularly fanchants (audience encouragement calls) in live concerts.
Her research includes projects like "Soundscape of K-Pop: A Study of K-Pop Fanchants in Concerts" and participation in the Aesthetic Studies Reading Group. She holds a Master of Philosophy in Musicology from the University of Oslo and is a member of the Faculty of Humanities and Theology at Lund University.
