Nansi Fakhri serves as a Lecturer at Saint Joseph University (USJ) in Lebanon and holds Research Affiliate positions at The Cyprus Institute's Climate & Atmosphere Research Center (CARE-C) and USJ's Emissions, Measurements, and Modeling of the Atmosphere (EMMA) Research Group.
She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in Canada, followed by a joint PhD in Atmospheric Chemistry from the University of Montréal (Canada) and Saint Joseph University (Lebanon) with excellent distinction.
Her research specializes in aerosol emissions profiling, chemical characterization for pollution source identification, and quantitative health risk assessment of atmospheric pollutants. This work bridges atmospheric chemistry with public health through advanced analytical methodologies for environmental exposure evaluation.
Throughout her academic career, she has received 12 research scholarships supporting her scientific investigations.
Dr. Fakhri actively contributes to the EMMA Research Group's atmospheric monitoring initiatives and CARE-C's climate research infrastructure, focusing on regional air quality challenges in the Eastern Mediterranean.
