Nancy Tao is an Associate Professor of Finance at Lake Forest College, specializing in financial economics and international finance. She holds a PhD in Economics from Claremont Graduate University, an MSc in Operational Research from Lancaster University, and a BA in Management from Shandong University. Her research focuses on financial markets, macroeconomic policy interactions, and China's financial influence on global economies.
Key research interests include the impact of fiscal/monetary policies, peer-to-peer lending dynamics, and cross-border financial linkages between China and countries like Australia. Her work often employs econometric techniques to analyze historical data (e.g., pre-War baseball attendance) and modern policy challenges.
Publications span journals like Applied Economics, Managerial Finance, and Economic Modelling, with recent focus on pandemic impacts and China-Africa financial ties. She has received grants from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and presented at major conferences such as the Western Economics Association International.
