Naitnaphit Limlamai is an Assistant Professor of English Education at Colorado State University's College of Liberal Arts, Department of English. She focuses on secondary English teacher preparation emphasizing justice-oriented pedagogy and antiracist organizational change. Her work bridges university coursework and classroom practice, examining how justice is defined and enacted in teaching contexts.
Education: PhD in English and Education from the University of Michigan, MEd from University of Notre Dame, BA from Boston College. Prior to academia, she taught high school English for 13 years in Florida, Georgia, and New York.
Research interests include teacher education collaborations, linguistic justice, writing pedagogy, and systemic racism in educational institutions. She co-chairs the ALAN Mentorship Committee and previously served as equity chair for the Michigan Council of Teachers of English. Her recent work explores antiracist strategies in professional development organizations.
Publications emphasize collaborative approaches to teaching, justice frameworks in education, and organizational change. Awards include NCTE’s Scholars of Color Fellowship (2022-2024) and an honorable mention for WAC pedagogy writing (2018). She actively contributes to educational equity through mentoring and curriculum development initiatives.
